The Boboli Lamp is the result of our very first collaboration with KITAWORKS, which the name is the cross between YALI and KITA. Our glass shade is made by applying rows of molten glass horizontally around the body of a mouthblown vessel and then stamping a round imprint into the newly added molten glass. The result is a beautiful high relief that plays intriguingly with the light to create a mesmerising display of circles within circles. The glass top was shipped to Takashi Kita, and this is how the adventure of a shared lamp began: glass from Italy and metal from Japan. KITAWORKS has a long history of producing refined metal works, and the new lamp are the result of a very exciting encounter between highly skilled craftsmen.
